New Groupworld feature: ability to scale items on whiteboard

We have recently added the ability to increase or decrease the size of any item on the whiteboard, for the HTML5 version of Groupworld. Simply select an item using the "select" tool, then press the + or - keys on the keyboard to change its size. You can also use the cursor keys to move selected items.

iOS 8 support for Groupboard and Groupworld apps

Both the Groupboard and Groupworld iOS apps have now been updated to be compatible with iOS 8. Please let us know if you experience any problems.

Groupboard iPhone/iPad/Android mobile apps FAQ

We have created a new frequently asked questions web page for the Groupboard mobile (Android and iOS) apps:

Groupboard Mobile Apps FAQ

You can also access the Mobile FAQ by clicking the new Help/FAQ button in the iOS app, or by choosing Help/FAQ menu option in the Android app.

Mentoring with We Teach Science

Check out this video from We Teach Science, who have been using Groupboard and Groupworld for online mentoring since 2008:

HTML5 version of Groupworld now default on Chrome

Due to the fact that Chrome will soon be blocking all plugins by default, we have now made it so that the HTML5 version of Groupworld is used by default on Chrome. In general the HTML5 client on Chrome should provide the best experience.

Pressure-sensitive line transparency added to Groupboard Android app

We have recently updated the Groupboard Android app to support pressure-sensitive freehand line transparency. Just tick the new 'pressure-sensitive line transparency' option (in the Options screen), and you will be able to draw using varying opacity in freehand line mode.

Obviously this requires a pressure-sensitive screen, and works best with stylus devices such as the Galaxy Note series.
