New version of Groupboard Designer with GIF export and bugfixes

We have recently released a new version of Groupboard Designer which has a number of bugfixes and enhancements, including:

If you are running a version of Groupboard Designer hosted from www.groupboard.com, you will already be using the new version.

If you have installed Groupboard on your own server, you can download the new version from one of the following URLs:

ftp://ftp.groupboard.com/pub/gbnt.zip
ftp://ftp.groupboard.com/pub/groupboard-linux.tar.gz
ftp://ftp.groupboard.com/pub/groupboard-freebsd.tar.gz
ftp://ftp.groupboard.com/pub/groupboard-solaris.tar.Z

Once you have downloaded the zip file, you can update your existing installation as follows:

If you have any problems or queries, email us.

Voice conferencing module available for Groupboard

We now have a voice-over-ip conferencing facility that can be added to Groupboard. This allows users to speak to each other via a microphone, similar to a telephone conference call but using the Internet. This module currently only works on Internet Explorer on Windows, but we may develop a Netscape/Mozilla version if there is demand. For more information, go to:

http://www.groupboard.com/products/groupconf.shtml

Voice conferencing is currently only available as a hosted solution running on our server (but as with Groupboard, you can copy the html code onto your own web pages). Pricing is initially $99 per year for a 15 user license, and $199 per year for a 100 user license. Email us if you would like to test this on your own Groupboard.

Port 80 firewall tunnelling for NT

For customers using the standalone server version of Groupboard, we now have a module for Apache running on Windows NT/XP/2000 allowing you to connect to your Groupboard using port 80 firewall tunnelling. This enables your customers to connect to Groupboard through any type of firewall. This module is available free to existing customers. Email us for more details.
