GroupWorld.net now runs on Linux and Mozilla, and is easier to set up
GroupWorld.net is now a stable product, with no known bugs for over three months. Since the first release in December 2004, over 300 people have trialled the product with many customers now using it every day for online tutoring, internet meetings and other applications.
The main features of GroupWorld.net are whiteboard, audio/video conferencing, desktop sharing and 3d graphics (Windows only). It is similar to WebEx but at a fraction of the price (because it is self-hosted on your own broadband internet connection or company network), with the advantage of being fully customisable due to the use of a built-in programming language.
Recent changes to GroupWorld.net include:
- New plugins for Mozilla/Netscape/Firefox on Windows and Linux
- Now easier to set up and use: just run the setup program, enter your trial license key, then click on the demos!
- New whiteboard features such as pan/zoom, colour palette, eye dropper, etc.
