1. Desmos scientific calculator added to Groupworld

We have recently added the option for users to choose the Desmos scientific or basic calculator (instead of the graphing calculator), when clicking on the graphing option in the math tools:

As with the Desmos graphing calculator, the scientific and basic calculator is shared and synchronized between users, so that when one user presses a calculator key, the result is immediately shown on all users' screens.

2. Integrating TutorCruncher with Groupworld

TutorCruncher is a powerful scheduling and payment system for online tutoring businesses. We have offered integration with TutorCruncher since 2018, and now integration is as simple as clicking the Groupworld button in TutorCruncher.

Watch this video to see how to integrate GroupWorld with TutorCruncher, as well as a brief overview showing how TutorCruncher works:

3. Default room template for Groupworld

You can now set a default "template" room in Groupworld, which means that that room's settings will take effect if you try to enter a room that hasn't been specifically created (i.e. you change the room name in the URL, to create a room "on the fly"). Simply tick the "default template" tickbox next to the room in the Groupworld hosted control panel that you want to act as the default room template.

4. Groupworld Load window now supports multiple selections

You can now select multiple images in the Groupworld "Load" window, allowing you to load multiple images (or multiple pages of a previously uploaded document) onto sequential pages of the whiteboard.

5. Google Drive recordings now stored in folders

With the 25-user and higher hosted Groupworld licenses, we offer the option to have your session recordings automatically uploaded to Google Drive, Vimeo or Amazon S3.

We have recently improved the Google Drive upload so that it now places recordings into individual folders based on the room name, to help organise the recordings more easily. It can also be configured so that the recording folders are placed within a separate top-level folder: contact us to set this up.
