1. Using Groupboard and Groupworld for online tutoring and collaboration

Check out this video we have created which demonstrates some of the features of Groupboard and Groupworld:

Please contact us if you have any videos showing you using our products and we will be happy to promote them.

2. Shared code editor and rich-text editor added to Groupworld

Due to popular demand, we have recently added a shared text editor feature to Groupworld. You can enable this feature by ticking the "Shared Text/Code Editor" option when creating a room, or by using the "show_text_editor" API option.

When clicking the button to open the shared text-editor, users are given the option of choosing either a rich-text editor or a code editor. Edits by one user are instantly seen by other users in the room.

3. Delete current page and move to front/back options added to Groupworld

Groupworld now has a "delete current page" option (when clicking the trashcan icon), allowing you to remove the current page from the document rather than just clearing it. Also, there are now "move to front" and "move to back" right-click options to move the selected items to the front or back.

You can also now navigate between pages in Groupworld by using the left and right cursor keys.

4. We can now accept payments via Transferwise

We can now accept payments through TransferWise.com. Please contact us for details if you would like to pay your invoice through TransferWise.

Although TransferWise requires you to verify your identity before you can send payments, it is much cheaper than any other payment method for customers outside USA/Canada, due to the very low foreign exchange fees.

5. Groupboard and Groupboard Designer web apps now support retina displays

When connecting to Groupboard or Groupboard Designer using your browser, we now support high resolution "retina" displays (such as the MacBook Pro), giving the full resolution of your screen. This is activated automatically, with no changes required on the user or customer side. Groupworld already supports retina displays.

6. iOS 11 support and performance improvements to Groupboard iOS app

We have updated the Groupboard iPhone/iPad app to support iOS 11, and we have also added some performance improvements for retina devices. Now freehand drawing should be much faster and smoother on these devices.

7. Improved gridlines function for Groupworld

Groupworld now has an improved gridlines function. The grid now covers the entire whiteboard area and uses a fixed box size (rather than dividing up screen).

8. Pinch-zoom now supported on all browsers in Groupboard Designer and Groupworld

You can now use pinch zoom on your computer's trackpad to zoom in or out in Groupboard Designer and Groupworld when using Firefox or Safari. Previously pinch-zoom was only supported in Chrome and mobile Safari.

9. New options added to hosted Groupworld control panel

We have added the following new options to the room configuration page in the hosted Groupworld control panel:

10. iOS 11 now supports WebRTC audio/video conferencing in Groupworld in Safari

You can now access Groupworld in Safari on both iOS and macOS and have full access to audio/video conferencing, without needing to download a plugin or app! Note that Safari 11 is required: Safari 11 is standard in iOS 11, and macOS High Sierra, both due for release on September 19. To test before then, you will need to install iOS 11 beta, or download Safari Technology Preview for macOS.
